Welcome to Paradise

Welcome to Paradise mood board

I love travel, dreaming, luxurious hotel stays, I love being waited on at hotels, I just love luxurious things and all that makes for a good story. We tell stories with our designs, so when the idea of Paradise for our 2017 SS collection came to me, I knew I had to make it magical. We're working with talented graphic designer Nacho Fillela from Spain again and this time we're pulling out all the stops. The collection will be light and airy everything suggestive of Paradise. When you think of Paradise, think of blue skies, sand as white as crystals, beautiful palm trees, at night the stars twinkle in the sky like jewels. Tropical birds talk to you in your dreams as you lay on the beautiful beach, the vision of Birds of Paradise beautify the entire island and colorful butterflies lay gently on your nose while you sleep.  Welcome to Paradise.

Creative Genes

When I had my first Pop up Shop in April I asked my daughter to create a design for me to print on shopping bags. I told her my concept and she just went with it and created this brilliant piece for me. Now this design will be added to the spring collection, just wait until the out come, it will be magical!

Guantanamera Restaurant which got it's name from the famous Cuban song, is located in the Theatre district in New York. The vibe as you walk into the restaurant take you back to the Island, with pictured images reminding you of life in Cuba and the amazing aroma of  the delicacy coming from the kitchen.  You cannot go to Guantanamera without trying their amazing Mojitos. My friend and I enjoyed the delicious mojitos while the the band played in the background and we were so tempted to get up and get the party started! :-))

Harlem Studios

Visiting the Harlem Studio Museum for the first time was the highlight of my easy going Sunday. I hopped on the 2 train to 125th Street to take advantage of Museum free Sunday. I browsed every gallery at the Museum, taking in each exhibit from black local and international artists, I even sat in on the lecture series and browsed the Museum shop for goodies. The intoxicating and vibrant artistic atmosphere in Harlem rings true to the Phrase of "The Harlem Renaissance", the vibe is never ending.

Aripo Eco Cottage Resort Trinidad "A Little Bit of Home"

Pack your bags and head to the beautiful Aripo Eco Cottage Resort located in the Hills of Aripo in the Northern Range, in my beautiful Island of Trinidad. Be sure to enjoy the beautiful landscape, nature walks and the friendly and precocious animals on the compound. Take a dip in the river and feel the burst of the waterfall on your head. Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the lush greenery that  surrounds the colorful cottages and cabanas adding to the serene environment. Believe me this is a must visit, I guarantee you will never want to leave.
